Prayer Challenge Fifty-Three

DEVOTIONAL: “Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him.” – Psalm 32:6, ESV.

CHALLENGE: Always a good time to pray… Last week we looked at scheduled prayers to make prayer a regular part of our routine. But what about spontaneous prayers? Things happen, unexpected things spring up nearly everyday. Kendrick lists seven such things as perfect times for spontaneous prayers: newness, needs, blessings, burdens, crisis, worries, and sin. “They’re all different shades and colors of prayer. Yet they’re all prayer.” No matter what happens to us God desires for us to speak with Him, to be in constant relational-communication with Him. How often do we talk with God on the whim? Is there an unexpected (good or bad) event today that you brought before Lord?
