Prayer Challenge Forty-Eight

DEVOTIONAL: “I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.” – Psalm 34:4-5, ESV.

CHALLENGE: God always answers our prayers. “God didn’t answer my prayer!” This is a common statement we hear from people, even Christians, these days. We often demand God to always say, “Yes, my child. As you wish.” If we pray according to His will this won’t be our expectation. What attitude to we have when we pray? What attitude do we have when God answers our prayers?

In chapter 7 of their book, The Battle Plan for Prayer, the Kendrick brothers give us a list of five ways God answers. Like a loving parent it’s not always a “Yes!” Sometimes we receive a “No!” or “Not yet, my child!” In the next three weeks we’ll take a look at variations of these.

  1. Its like you learn my thoughts! You appear to grasp so much about
this, such as you wrote the e book in it or something.
I think that you simply can do with some percent to drive the message
home a bit, but instead of that, this is wonderful blog.
A fantastic read. I will certainly be back. http://www.yahoo.net
