Prayer Challenge Forty-Seven

DEVOTIONAL: “Therefore take up the whole armor of God…praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.” – Ephesians 6:13a & 18, ESV.

CHALLENGE: Prayer of Supplication. This is the final part of praying ACTS. Here we pray for things: “It means to beseech, petition, or appeal for Him to do or provide something for yourself or others.” God is willing, and waiting for His children to ask according to His will. In the Sermon of the Mount Jesus tells the crowd, “Ask, and it will be given to you,” (Matt 7:7). We all know someone who’s sick or is unemployed or as some other need. This could even be one of us. Are we telling people we will pray for them and actually pray? How can we supplicate on another’s behalf in our prayers and lives?
