Prayer Challenge Forty-One

DEVOTION: “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” ~ 2 Corinthians 3:18, ESV.

CHALLENGE: “Prayer is not about prayer.” When praying seems burdensome we need to continue to pray. The second of three definitions (or purposes) of prayer that the Kendrick brothers give us is: “Prayer is communion with God in order to… Understand and conform our lives to His will and ways.” Prayer is about meeting God where we are, no matter the how easy or difficult things may be. “Prayer doesn’t merely change things; it will change us.” As we pray God will bring us closer to Him and we will become like Jesus. What changes have you experienced as you prayed this last year? What changes are you seeing in others?

    • Thank you for the comment. The book I am currently using for these devotionals is “The Battle Plan for Prayer”. The first quote of the challenge is taken from page 32. I hope that helps.
