Prayer Challenge Eighteen

Devotional: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, ESV.

Challenge: Thinking on God… Martin Luther describes contemplation as, “Getting lost in some aspect of God’s truth or character.” This is Keller’s fifth and final part of his framework on prayer. When we finish conversing with the Almighty we should remain focused on Him throughout the day; at work or at play. Our prayers should never cease. Contemplating is “times when we not only know God is holy, but when we sense—‘see’ and ‘taste’—that he is in our hearts.” How much time of your day are you giving to God?
