Prayer Challenge Thirteen

Devotion: “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.” ~ Hebrews 10:23, ESV.

Challenge: God does answer prayer… Calvin’s fourth and final rule for pray is “to pray with confidence and hope.” God always answers our prayers according to His will not our will. God, as our Father, knows what is best for us, as His children, even better than we know what is best. Calvin says, “[Though] cast down and overcome by true humility, we should be nonetheless encouraged to pray by a sure hope that our prayer will be answered.” What are you asking of God? Is your confidence that your prayer is according to God’s will? And is your hope that He will answer it?
